A reality check in lucid dreaming is a technique used to help dreamers become aware that they are dreaming. It involves performing a simple action or observation that would yield different results in a dream than in waking life. For example, looking at a clock, reading a piece of text, or trying to push a finger through the palm of the hand. If the result is different from what would happen in waking life, it can indicate to the dreamer that they are in a dream. This can help the dreamer become lucid and take control of the dream. **
